This ascending structure has been designed to lean against a metal cage and cantilever upwards. Constructed from two elements, the leaning base is formed from plywood and spans between the ground and the top of the cage. It’s triangular cross section flares out at the base to provide stability and a low centre of mass, and provides a flat connection point with the cage. The upper cardboard element cantilevers from the base, its folded form provides stiffness and allows for a simple pegged connection to the base.
