This ‘lookout’ structure leans against the corner of an adjacent building and uses its geometry to direct the viewer’s eye towards a distant landmark. The prismatic form is wider at the base to provide stability and narrows and deepens at its midpoint to reduce weight and achieve structural strength. The interconnecting structural cords provide stiffness, help visually realise a lightweight structure, and are connected by a series of 3D printed nodes.
