This structure has been designed to traverse across the width of a recessed doorway. Its cranked form uses the recess to withstand lateral forces and the visual rhythm of the structure corresponds to the corrugation of the building facade. The plywood elements have been perforated using a laser cutter to allow them to bend to a greater degree than the material would otherwise allow while the residual resistance to bending is used to hold the components in place.
