This traversing structure has been designed to hang from a high level beam providing a connecting link between a column and adjacent wall. The traversing element is constructed from laminated layers of CNC cut plywood and is heavily weighted to reduce movement due to wind loading and requiring accuracy so that it can fit closely within its site. The steel rod hangers can be installed from ground level by hooking over the beam above and are threaded at their base to allow for the vertical adjustment of the plywood form. The structure has the appearance of rigidity and proportionally for its context.

18mm Spruce faced plywood
10mm mild steel rod
PVA
Water based acrylic paint (black)
