These descending structures have been designed to be installed at various positions on a staircase. The structures are modular with laser cut nodes that connect standard timber sections together. The two base nodes are circular in section to allow tolerances for installation and to ensure contact is maintained with the step surfaces. The first node is wider to add stability and the final top node acts as a handle as well as adding mass to improve the frictional forces created by the lever arm of the whole structure.
