The Interplanetary Rover project showcases our students’ innovative skills as they design, build, and demonstrate an autonomous rover capable of performing exploration tasks. Teams create unique autonomous rovers using provided components and materials, applying their knowledge in mechanical systems, programming, and control.

The rover’s capabilities are tested through two main tasks: navigating from a random starting point to a target zone, simulating a scenario where it has lost its way in a storm, and collecting rock samples (squash balls) to transport them to a collection point, demonstrating its ability to gather and deliver samples for analysis.
